    Eden One, Dublin

den One is a global award-winning health club and spa located in Ballsbridge, Dublin. Designed by Plus Architects, it features a state-of-the-art gym and a day spa. It is no surprise that Eden One is one of the most expensive and exclusive gyms in the country.

The spa is equipped with a stunning thermal suite located over two floors. Each floor has a theme. ‘Fire and Water’ is on the ground floor. Included here is an infinity edge swimming pool, a heated vitality pool, a panoramic sauna, a dry salt inhalation relaxation room, tropical rain showers and heated marble loungers. On the first floor is ‘Garden’, this includes a light-filled courtyard sauna, a pure steam room, a snow shower, a plunge pool and additional heated loungers.

There are a number of ‘ribbon fires’ throughout the spa, which are designed to create a striking and tranquil atmosphere.

Eden One has won several awards, including “Best Luxury Day Spa” in Europe, “Best Luxury Urban Escape” in Europe and “Best Spa Therapist” in Northern Europe at the World Luxury Awards 2024. This is the second consecutive year Eden One has been named as “Best Luxury Day Spa” at these awards.

There are eleven Day Spa packages available, ranging in price from €190 to €365. All packages include complimentary access to the spa facilities and lunch in the Member’s Lounge. They also offer a range of premium facial treatments and body treatments. 90-minute treatments include complimentary access to the spa facilities. For any 60-minute treatment booked, there is an additional fee of €50, if you wish to use the spa facilities.

I booked the ‘Eden One Escape’ package, lasting 75 minutes. It includes a back massage (30 minutes), a facial (30 minutes) and a tension relieving head massage (15 minutes). Complimentary lunch in the Member’s Lounge is also included. This package is available Monday to Thursday only.

I completed an online consultation form prior to my appointment. This provided a smoother and more efficient experience. I was met on arrival by the concierge, Kate, who was very welcoming and professional. She gave me a quick tour of the spa and its facilities.

The changing rooms are luxurious, equipped with showers (each one has shampoo and conditioner), toilets and Dyson hairdryers. They are very well maintained and incredibly clean. The bathrooms are beautifully designed with white marble sinks and black taps. Lockers are provided along with bathrobes, plush slippers and flip flops.

Before my treatments, I headed to the Member’s Lounge for my complimentary lunch. It is a comfortable and luxurious area, with a relaxed atmosphere. The menu, available on a tablet, offers Japanese inspired dishes and a range of healthy options. I ordered a Japanese Katsu Curry, which was delicious. Portion sizes were generous. Service was efficient, and the staff were very pleasant.

I was met by my therapist, Silvana, who brought me to the Treatment Suite. There are five treatment rooms. Each room features advanced filtration and circulation technology to maintain 99.9% pure air. The spa is partnered with premium skincare brands. Natura Bissé and GROUND Wellbeing are used in all treatments.

My therapist was very friendly and informative. She started with a back massage, followed by a facial, then a head massage. The massage beds are heated to allow for maximum comfort. Each of the treatments was incredibly relaxing. I felt rejuvenated, both physically and mentally. After my treatments, I was brought to the fireside relaxation room where I was provided with tea and water.

I certainly made full use of the spa facilities, in particular the heated vitality pool. My whole experience from start to finish was excellent. After spending six hours at Eden One, I reluctantly headed home. I left feeling very relaxed and refreshed – definitely a sign of a good day!
