The Amalfi Coast is home to some of Italy’s most distinctive luxury hotels, from historic palazzi and former monasteries to design-led retreats perched above the sea. Whether you prefer the energy of Positano, the quieter pace of Praiano and Conca dei Marini, or the elevated views of Ravello, the region offers an exceptional range of stays – many with private beach clubs, Michelin-starred dining, infinity pools and long-standing family ownership at their core.

Most hotels on the Amalfi Coast operate seasonally, typically opening in early April and closing at the end of October.

Miramalfi

Miramalfi is a five-star boutique hotel set on the coast just outside Amalfi, around a 10-minute walk from the town centre. A member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and a recipient of a Michelin Key in 2025, it has been owned by the Mansi family since it opened in 1956. Today, the hotel is led by third-generation owners Francesco Mansi and Ferida Fava, who have overseen its evolution into a contemporary design-led retreat.

Following a complete renovation that began in 2022, the hotel now has 36 sea-facing rooms and suites. Interiors take inspiration from mid-century Italian design and the colours of the coast, combining bold patterned tiles, custom furnishings and modern Mediterranean details.

Dining includes Donna Emma, the hotel’s fine-dining restaurant named after the Mansi family matriarch, serving seasonal Italian dishes with an emphasis on Campanian ingredients. Azur Lounge Bar offers all-day drinks and light bites, while Mario’s Bar is the spot for signature cocktails and sunset aperitifs. The hotel’s terraces are positioned to make the most of the Amalfi views.

The Beach Club is central to the Miramalfi experience, with a saltwater pool set into the rocks, sun terraces, direct sea access and attentive poolside service. Guests also have access to a sea-view Technogym-equipped gym, complimentary daily yoga classes, massage treatments and a boat available for private hire.
