he food in Sani Resort is exceptional. Sani offers cuisines from all around the world, with menus to cater for all. The produce is incredibly fresh and is sourced daily from sustainable producers and local markets.

In Sani Dunes, where we stayed, there are two locations for breakfast, The Market, which is beside the hotel lobby, and the Beach House, which is located on the beach. There were more food options available in The Market, but the location of the Beach House was better. The food in both locations was delicious.

Each hotel offers half board or full board. Neither package includes drinks or alcohol – these will be charged at an additional cost. We were on half board package which allowed us to have breakfast and lunch/dinner daily. Every day we chose to have dinner as we were still too full from breakfast to even consider lunch!

There are 26 restaurants to choose from across the resort, so you are spoiled for choice. The resorts Dine Around Programme allows you to enjoy meals in any of these restaurants, either by choosing a specifically tailored Dine Around set menu in 12 of the 26 restaurants (without extra charges) or by ordering à la carte.

With the à la carte option, the programmes meal allowance is deducted from the final bill. The meal allowance varies per hotel – for Sani beach it is €20 pp (children €10), Sani Dunes/Porto Sani/Sani Club it is €25 pp (children €15), for Sani Asterias it is €40 pp (children €20).

All of the restaurants we chose included a three-course meal from the Dine Around menu.

Download the Sani App about three weeks before travelling and book your top three restaurant choices. You are only allowed to book three restaurants pre check-in. Restaurants can fill up very quickly, so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.

    Restaurants

The Market at Sani Dunes Hotel

Cuisine: Farm to Table, Mediterranean and International Cuisine

    Child friendly

    Vegetarian/vegan menu

The Market was our favourite of all the restaurants we visited. It is an elegant restaurant with exceptional service. All produce is sourced daily from sustainable producers and local markets. The quality of the food was excellent. The prawns were exceptional. Everything we had was very tasty and fresh. The Dine Around Menu had lots of choice. We were also offered complimentary tea and coffee post dessert, which was a nice added bonus. We highly recommend!

    Starter: Crispy Shrimp Satay

    Main: Seafood Pasta Linguine

Dessert: Sundae with Salted Caramel Ice Cream

    Macaroni at Sani Marina

    Cuisine: Italian

    Child friendly

    Vegetarian/vegan menu

    Gluten free

Macaroni was a “real” Italian restaurant in the resort, primarily serving homemade pasta and wood fired pizzas. The location was fabulous. It overlooked the marina and had a nice outdoor area. Pizzas were definitely the most popular dish – they were delicious and cooked to perfection! The Bruschetta was also very tasty. Although this was a busy spot, it didn’t impact the service. The Dine Around Menu was good with a lot of choice. Overall, a good spot!

    Starter: Bruschetta
    Main: Diavola Pizza
    Desert: Tiramisu

    Ammos at Sani Beach Hotel

    Cuisine: Mediterranean

    Child friendly

    Vegetarian/vegan menu

    Gluten free

Ammos was a very relaxing al fresco dining experience, located on the beach in front of Sani Beach hotel. We had a table right on the waterfront, which was perfect. There was live music here, which added to the ambiance. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I opted for the traditional Greek “Shrimps Saganaki” as my starter and it didn’t disappoint. The Prawns Pasta was also divine. The Dine Around Menu was also good here, with lots of choice. We highly recommend!

    Starter: Shrimps Saganaki
    Main: Prawns Pasta
Desert: Vanilla Ice Cream with Strawberry and Mango Gelato

    Elia at Porto Sani Hotel

    Cuisine: Modern Greek

    Child friendly

Elia is a fantastic modern restaurant overlooking one of Porto Sani’s pools. The food was very good and the service was excellent. There was a very relaxed atmosphere. Before dinner we went for a drink in the bar, which is next to the restaurant. The almond cake for dessert was the highlight. Would recommend!

    Starter: Crunchy Squid
    Main: Grilled Chicken
    Desert: Almond Cake

    Pines at Sani Club Hotel

    Cuisine: Farm to Table

    Child friendly

    Vegetarian/vegan menu

The ambiance at this restaurant was amazing. It was very chilled. The highlight was the incredible view of the sunset over Sani Club’s infinity pool. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Ingredients are sourced from small producers close to Sani. An added bonus was a complimentary shot of Limoncello after dessert! The Dine Around Menu was very good with lots of choice. We highly recommend!

    Starter: Spicy Feta and Pita
    Main: Shrimp Linguine
    Dessert: Orange Pie

Grill by the Pool at Sani Beach Hotel

    Cuisine: International

    Child friendly

    Vegetarian/vegan menu

Grill by the Pool was our most disappointing meal. The service was slower than the other restaurants and it wasn’t as efficient. The restaurant felt a bit chaotic – it was overrun with babies and young children. I had guacamole for my starter, which was very oily and bland. For main course, I had Grilled Shrimps, which consisted of four shrimps and a small bit of salad. The Dine Around Menu was also more limited.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t comparable to our experiences in the other restaurants.

    Starter: Guacamole
    Main: Grilled Shrimps
    Dessert: Chocolate Mosaic

    Grilled Shrimps
    Vosporus at Sani Marina

    Cuisine: Traditional Greek

    Child friendly

    Vegetarian/vegan menu

    Gluten free

Vosporus is a classic Greek tavern, located right on the marina with stunning views. This was a very authentic Greece experience, with delicious food and blue and white check tablecloths. The service was amazing. The Dine Around Menu was good, with a lot of variety.

Starter: Kefalotyri “Saganaki” Pan Fried Cheese with Red Pepper Marmalade

Main: Grilled Beef Patties with Fries

Dessert: Vanilla Ice Cream and Strawberry Sorbet

    Bars

There are also a number of bars in the resort for pre/post dinner drinks, including:

Sea You Bar: Located in Sani Marina. This bar often has live music or a DJ. A good spot for a pre or post dinner drink, with delicious cocktails.

Sea Breeze Bar: Located in Porto Sani. Lovely cocktail bar overlooking the pool. Really relaxing and good variety of cocktails.

Bousoulas Beach Bar: Located beside Sani Beach Hotel. Highly recommend going here to watch the sunset. Amazing views overlooking Bousoulas beach. Sani hosts a weekly entertainment night at this bar called “White Night” every Wednesday.
