French luxury hotel collection Airelles has made its Italian debut in Venice with the opening of Airelles Palladio, Venice. The property marks the collection’s ninth address and first outside France, bringing its signature refined luxury to one of Europe’s most historic cities.
Located on Giudecca – an island favoured by locals and removed from the crowds of San Marco – Airelles Palladio occupies a historic site comprising three 16th-century buildings and the restored Church of Santa Maria della Presentazione, set within nearly a hectare of Mediterranean gardens.
The property was meticulously restored under the direction of Christophe Tollemer, Architect and Artistic Director of Maisons Airelles. Interiors combine French linens and fabrics with Italian elements including terrazzo and marble floors, Fortuny chandeliers, Murano glass, and Rubelli wall coverings, all presented in a palette of warm ambers, neutrals, mahogany, and deep blues.
The 45-key property offers 17 rooms and 28 suites, including the 450m² Suite del Doge, which features panoramic views. Airelles Palladio includes five restaurants, three bars, a traditional cicchetti bar, and Elton’s Club, created in collaboration with Elton John. Wellness facilities include a 1,700m² Guerlain Spa, a Rossano Ferretti Hair Spa, four swimming pools, and a Kids’ Club.
Airelles Palladio offers five dining venues, including three signature restaurants led by an internationally renowned group of chefs.
Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s abc kitchens Palladio serves Mediterranean-inspired cuisine in a relaxed, contemporary setting, while Chef Nobu Matsuhisa presents his signature Japanese fare. Opening at the end of June, Villa Frollo will showcase Norbert Niederkofler’s lagoon-inspired dishes, while Cédric Grolet brings his celebrated pastries and exclusive creations conceived for the property.
Beyond the restaurants, Palladio Bar offers a cosy and inviting atmosphere with views over the Fondamenta and the lagoon, while Zitelle Bacaro celebrates traditional Venetian cicchetti in an authentic setting. Elton’s Club, created in collaboration with Elton John – a devoted resident of Venice – will open in September 2026, bringing a music-led experience to the Maison.
The Airelles Spa, the largest wellness space in Venice, debuts a partnership with the iconic French skincare house Guerlain, which has created a collection of exclusive treatments inspired by the city. Overlooking Mediterranean gardens, the 1,700 sqm wellness space features treatment rooms, a hammam, Finnish sauna, Japanese Iyashi Dôme infrared sauna, yoga and fitness studio, relaxation areas, and an indoor swimming pool.
“We are privileged to introduce our first property outside of France with the opening of Airelles Palladio” says Anne-Laure Ollagnon, CEO of Airelles. “Venice has its own poetry, shaped by water and centuries of history. With Airelles Palladio, we wanted to give Venice a starring role, letting its colours, materials, and spirit guide us. We interpreted the essence of Venice through Airelles’ signature hospitality, blending French elegance and Italian refinement.”
Nightly rates at Airelles Palladio, Venice start at €1,400 for a Superior Room, during low season, with breakfast included.
